Posted on August 18, 2015 by ASHLEY GILBREATH | 0 CommentsHey PARISH friends! I hope everyone is doing well and getting back into the swing of things now that school is starting back! Summer flew by and I don't know about you, but I am ready for pumpkins and football! We wanted to write a post and introduce you to our cool friends over at the Highboy. The Highboy is a curated marketplace for antiques and art. They contacted us last Fall asking us to be a featured antique dealer. What an honor! We happily and giddily accepted and are so proud of our little shop "corner" on the internet! Click here to head on over to our Highboy internet storefront. Our Highboy store features many of the lovely pieces Ashley and Jessica picked up on their first trip to Europe last year. It is a great spot to see what we have available to those customers who don't live in Montgomery or the surrounding areas! The Highboy details the origin of the antique and gives interesting details such as the time period from which it comes, what type of material the antique is made of, and the condition of the piece (we tend to believe a nick or crack adds character). [caption id="attachment_14035" align="aligncenter" width="460"] From the Highboy: This unique 19th century chair is made of a beautiful oak. Two small rounded wings sit at the top of the chair. There are no signs of repair although there is a small crack in the very top of the chair.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_14037" align="aligncenter" width="460"] "This 18th century stone Cherub head is mounted on an iron stand. It is in remarkable condition based on the age. There are traces of the original paint, but it is almost completely white."[/caption] Ashley got the chance to do a fun little Q&A on The Highboy's blog "The Weekly" in June. You can read it in full here. We were all so excited to see Ashley's feature and love being a part of such a fun online marketplace that is bringing antiques and art to those who don't always have the opportunities to access them! Until next time!
