We finished up a living room on Tuesday for one of our sweetest and most creative clients that actually lived next door to Ashley and Barrett a few years ago! We love when friends become clients! :) The house is tucked away in the pines with a stunning view of the lake and is filled with fabulous details that make you feel comfortable and at home. These were some of our favorite photos from the day - enjoy! [caption id="attachment_13532" align="aligncenter" width="639"] We love this furniture arrangement! Anytime we can place multiple sofas and seating areas in- a space, we do! Our goal in any living room is that it feels comfortable and effortless. By using neutral upholstery, clean lines, and impactful color, the space feels fresh and "grown-up!"[/caption] [caption id="attachment_13533" align="aligncenter" width="640"] At the back wall, we placed a camel colored slipcovered sofa to balance the weight of the fireplace across from it. When working with hard and heavy looking materials such as a rock fireplace and wood walls, a softness is essential, whether its with color or texture. We like both! Drapery made the biggest impact in this space! We chose an oatmeal colored sheer fabric to soften the light and our signature pleats! Always a home run! :)[/caption] [caption id="attachment_13534" align="aligncenter" width="640"] How fabulous are the chair paintings above the sofa? Perfect for the lake![/caption] [caption id="attachment_13530" align="aligncenter" width="640"] I SO wish that you could see the view out of these windows! Stunning! Ps... our client painted the lake scene of his children over the fireplace (and bonus- it opens up for a hidden tv! Insert designer happy dance here!)[/caption] [caption id="attachment_13536" align="aligncenter" width="640"] Ashley and I have a running joke that when we are at a clients house, we will always dig around for any hidden treasures they may have that can act as accessories on tables, etc! We lucked out and found some pretty blue pottery, skeleton keys, an antique wood box, and a fun photo album filled with lakeside memories. Combining treasures like these with new accessories makes the space feel "collected" rather than "styled."[/caption] [caption id="attachment_13535" align="aligncenter" width="640"] I told you that our client is creative... he made this beautiful clock! Perfect finishing touch![/caption] [caption id="attachment_13531" align="aligncenter" width="630"] Ashley and I picked up these antique medicine bottles at a flea market in Belgium! Love a vintage feel and a pretty punch of green![/caption] Fun right? We honestly didn't want to leave! So glad you could join us on the blog today! Have a great week, friends!
