My name is Meagan and I am the new Store Manager at PARISH!!! This is my first week at the store and it has been great so far! I hope everyone will come in the store, so I can meet you all!
We are wanting to start a new weekly series on the blog called "PARISH PICKS" where we feature an item from the store and then show you all the different ways you could use it around your house, etc!
This week we want to kick off our series with all the ways you could use a PLANTER.... A lot of people think that a planter is only used for flowers, plants, etc.... But I am here to tell you otherwise!!
Option 1: Using Plants/Flowers
Recently, we partnered with our friends at Ex Voto Vintage for a fun little event, which we will be posting about later in the week! We provided a beautiful planter from Parish as the centerpiece!!
Option 2: Using Moss
Another great way to accessorize around your home is using a planter with moss.. Sometimes we just don't have time to run to the store and get fresh flowers, so filling the planter with moss adds some greenery and is a great space filler!
Option 3: Using Boxwoods
Boxwoods are AMAZING! And such a great option for that person who is always on the go and doesn't necessarily have a green thumb! This would be the perfect thing for me personally because it seems that every plant I ever own dies!! These pictures also show you that you can use different types/size planters and boxwoods as well!
Option 4: Using Cattail Balls
Green Cattail Balls are also another great option for sprucing up your house! The awesome thing about these are they are very similar to Boxwoods in that they come in various sizes, making them a great accessory!
Option 5: Using Pinecones
Using pinecones in a planter would be a great way to bring the "outdoors" into your house! I recently got married and my husband has told me numerous times that my furniture/décor choices are a little too girly... I have a feeling I am not the only one, so what a great way to make your home a little more masculine by grabbing an empty planter and adding some pinecones!!
Option 6: Using as a Wine Cooler
This is another planter that we currently have at the store.... it currently has moss in it, but it would be the perfect "Wine Cooler" if you were having company over or hosting a party..
Here is an example from Pottery Barn of using the planter as a wine cooler ... All of these planters could also be used as any of the options I listed above too!
These are only a few of the many many options you could do with a planter... I hope this gives everyone some inspiration!! So I hope that everyone will come by PARISH to check out all these fabulous planters, as well as, the Clean-Out Event that we are having!! We have a lot of lamp shades, drapery rods, and fabric remnants! We are also pulling daily through the end of the week! So be sure to come by and see us!
Hope everyone has a great rest of the week!
