This post serves as our “Happy Halloween” to y’all and our “Happy Birthday” to sweet Cates! Cates turned three on October 14. In honor of the big 3 year old (who seems to be going on 13), we had a big Cinderella party. Cates loves Cinderella right now and we had a blast planning this little party. We designated one area for pumpkin painting and another area for the girls to "get ready for the ball" with make up and tiaras and necklaces! David Maddox at the Curb Market was sweet enough to get us some small pumpkins for all the littles to paint. Washable paint from Hobby Lobby insured no one would be going home with ruined clothes. Two of our favorite high school girls helped the little girls put make up on and add glitter to their pumpkins. Cinderella herself even showed up. She told the girls her story, and they helped her do her chores, and then got ready for the ball. She was a big hit.

It was such a fun afternoon and the weather could not have been more perfect for a beautiful Fall Sunday. Celebrating sweet Cates is one of our favorite things to do. I think she had as much fun at the party as we did planning it.
From all of us at AFGID, Happy Halloween!! And check back with us, there may be a Halloween giveaway in the next day or two...[caption id="attachment_3558" align="aligncenter" width="300"]Halloween with Cates at age 1[/caption]
