I'm still alive...

So, I just realized that my last post was in JUNE!!!  Where have the last few months gone?!  We have had a ton going on and I think things are finally getting back to a regular pace around here.  So...what's been going on over the last 3 months in my crazy life?  Here's the short story.  :) We found out in May that I'm pregnant.  The middle of June until well into August is kind of a blur.  Zofran pretty much kept me alive.  Amanda and Emi (and Barrett) will tell you I was a real pleasure to be around...HA!  Being sick from being pregnant really makes me question why the earth is even remotely populated.  Why in the world do females actually choose to go through this?!?  I have sworn seriously a million times that I will never, ever, ever do this again.  Two children is enough...no more (although I have always wanted 4).  As the weeks pass you get to feeling a little more normal and you get to find out what you're having.  I was beyond convinced that we were having a girl just to be told at our 16 week ultrasound this one is a BOY!  We got to go back again to do the in depth ultra sound at 20 weeks.  I was convinced the little boy part they saw on the "16 weeker" was just a hand... So, I was wrong again.  Its 100% a boy.  My first comment after hearing it's a boy was, "well, Cates is going to have to have a sister, so I guess I will do this again sooner or later."  What's wrong with me?!!!!  Our due date is January 13th, my birthday.  I'm not so hot at sharing, so we might have to adjust that date a little.  Just praying we make it past the 30 week mark!! We also moved during those blurry sickness months.  Yep, moved out of the house we totally poured our hearts into.  This is our 7th house in 7 years of marriage.  (Now y'all are starting to think something is really wrong with me.)  We sold our forever house on Felder Ave to a precious client, and we moved to the house we have had for a few years as a rental.  We closed on the house we sold on July 10th and then left 2 days later for Puerto Rico for 8 days.  We have done a ton of updating to the new house.  It was totally renovated about 4 years ago, but we needed to make it ours.  Beams have been added, there has been a ton of painting and pressure washing, removing a wall, refinishing floors, replacing the master bath shower, major landscaping...this is just the beginning.  The work is still going on.  More pictures are coming soon, promise. Here is the inspiration pic of the back yard.  It should be installed this week.  The super talented Amie Brown is in charge.  I'm super excited. [caption id="attachment_6796" align="aligncenter" width="620"] Soon to be the back yard[/caption] Puerto Rico was great.  Barrett had a business trip and I got to tag along.  It was super nice to leave the move and relax.  My mom kept Cates at the new house and Emi and Amanda kept the studio going while I was out.  Barrett had to work a good bit so I had lots of down time.  I actually read a whole book.  Kind of embarrassing, but I haven't done that since high school summer reading when I was forced.  I can honestly say that I have never picked up a book just for fun to read and actually finished it.  I'm too A.D.D. and dyslexic to sit still with a book.  (that sounds terrible!!)  Regardless, I had a great time. Cates is doing great.  She's turning into a big girl and I can't believe it!  She is talking all the time and in whole sentences.  She's super chatty!!  I am loving it.  She will be 2 in October so we are working on the big girl birthday party.  She sees her invitation on my phone and says,"my birthday party".  It's amazing how much she has changed in just a year!!  She's singing and counting and learning letters.  I'm not sure where my sweet baby has gone.  We are about to transition into a big girl room if I can get it pulled together, so you will see some pics of that soon too.  Here are a few recent pics.  Love this girl!! [caption id="attachment_6793" align="aligncenter" width="620"] This is how I found her at the breakfast table. She put these on and refused to take them off.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_6794" align="aligncenter" width="620"] sporting my Toms and her jammies[/caption] [caption id="attachment_6795" align="aligncenter" width="620"] This was too sweet not to share. Our twins would have been 3 this August. This was our birthday visit.[/caption] On the work front, we have had 2 major out of town jobs that have installed.  We have made multiple trips to the beach to finish up an awesome job there and 2 trips to the NYC for the super cool TriBeca job.  There has been lots of local stuff too, plus a big sale.  I'm hoping now that the big stuff is over we can concentrate on getting ready for the holidays and babies.  I can't believe Amanda is only 7 weeks out!  I haven't been without her in like 2 years.  I am going to be lost!!  Thank God for Emi!!  :) Here's one more pic of my sweet girl.  :) More soon, promise. xoxo,

I love reading these post! It catches me up on your busy life and I love getting to see your work along with precious Cates. I only wish I lived in Montgomery to get to see all of these things in person. Loved the New York project. Amazing!
