Grey is one of those colors that can be a little bit scary to work with. I guess it's because its easy to think of grey as a boring color that you often see in a gloomy office space. Well... get used to it! It is such a great neutral. It provides drama, warmth, and impact. Whites and golds are a great way to brighten up a gray room and keep it from feeling gloomy.

Throw in some stained wood to make it a little more traditional.

It's also a good color for trim! It's a little unexpected and can add some interest to a traditional space.

These bunk beds are just so fun! They went with grey walls, trim, stairs and I wouldn't change it for a second.

Now for some rooms that definitely went for the drama factor...

That last one was the home of the AMAZING Bobby McAlpine. I mean... it doesn't get much more spectacular than that.

Hopefully I've inspired some of you to step out of your comfort zone and add some grey to your homes too!

What a great roundup of photographs! I think a few of those colors are by Farrow & Ball, and you really can’t go wrong with any of their paint.
