Remember that post we did a while back about a beautiful beach house near Alys beach? Well, we've got some more work to do! The master bathroom was pretty... But could have been taken up a few notches. This homeowner is entirely too creative to keep it this way. She was determined to make it a special place. After seeing her inspiration pics, we decided to get a little creative too! Check out the bathroom before...

Now take a look at these fun inspiration pics...

Things we took away from the inspiration pictures:
  • open storage (we are adding a skirt in front)
  • vessel sinks
  • wall mount faucets
  • better lighting (a must)
  • overall softer look
We went straight to the drawing board and started designing a new vanity. After a few adjustments, this is the final drawing.  The entire vanity - including the back splash - will be made from heart pine and washed in a sheer, light grey finish. [caption id="attachment_6670" align="aligncenter" width="496"]VANITY FINISH[/caption] Open shelving will be hidden by custom drapery. The entire wall above the back splash will be mirror which will help brighten up the space. The sconce a will be mounted 66" above the floor - this provides much more flattering light than sconces mounted above a mirror like you saw in the before pictures. It will be in Oil Rubbed Bronze. [caption id="attachment_6666" align="aligncenter" width="372"] Reed Double Sconce from Circa Lighting[/caption] The long drawer in the middle of the vanity will have an 8" drop pull from Bouvet in a black finish. [caption id="attachment_6675" align="aligncenter" width="330"] KOHLER DOUBLE HANDLE WIDESPREAD WALL MOUNT FAUCET WITH METAL CROSS HANDLES[/caption] [caption id="attachment_6676" align="aligncenter" width="360"] Kingston Brass EV5102 Rectangular Vitreous China Vessel Sink Less Drain Assembly from the French Collection[/caption] We're really excited to see the final result. Install day is August 17th so be on the lookout for pictures soon!
