Project Update: 704 Felder

Posted on May 02, 2012 by 1 | 7 Comments

We've been hard at work getting the house at 704 Felder Avenue all spiffed up! After receiving numerous phone calls about the house, we've decided it's time for another update. A lot has gone on since then - if you want a little reminder, check our our previous post on this project.  About 2 more weeks and it will all be finished.  Landscaping starts very soon and the plans are AMAZING!!  Stay tuned for the end product and some tips on how we got there. Now for some recent pics to fill y'all in! (Don't judge me for the quality... there's not much I know how to do when I can't turn on the lights). [caption id="attachment_5766" align="aligncenter" width="496" caption="FRONT PORCH, STILL A LOT OF WORK TO BE DONE HERE...MAJOR POTENTIAL!"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_5767" align="aligncenter" width="496" caption="FRONT DOOR - view into foyer and living room"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_5768" align="aligncenter" width="496" caption="FOYER - Check out the beautiful new pendant!"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_5769" align="aligncenter" width="496" caption="LIVING ROOM - new french doors are in place! Lots of painting going on thanks to our fabulous painter, Mark!"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_5770" align="aligncenter" width="496" caption="DINING ROOM - It's got a great new chandelier, too! (Walls are still in desperate need of paint and sheetrock work!)"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_5772" align="aligncenter" width="496" caption="KITCHEN - Cabinets are well underway!"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_5771" align="aligncenter" width="496" caption="KITCHEN"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_5774" align="aligncenter" width="496" caption="NEW 1ST FLOOR GUEST BEDROOM"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_5775" align="aligncenter" width="496" caption="UPSTAIRS BEDROOM - Don't the refinished floors look great?!"][/caption] In my opinion, the master bathroom is by far one of the biggest transformations. Previously, this house had one full bathroom upstairs and one tiny half bath below the stairs. We merged the old, dysfunctional laundry room with the existing upstairs bathroom to make one beautiful master bathroom with tons of natural daylight! We also added a new kids bathroom in what was originally a random, over-sized closet. [caption id="attachment_5776" align="aligncenter" width="496" caption="MASTER BATHROOM"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_5777" align="aligncenter" width="496" caption="MASTER BATHROOM"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_5778" align="aligncenter" width="496" caption="MASTER BATHROOM - I feel like I'm in a tree house when I look at this picture! It will be such a happy place to get ready in the morning!"][/caption] Another great selling point in this house is the beautiful stained glass windows. This is one of many: [caption id="attachment_5779" align="aligncenter" width="496" caption="WINDOW AT STAIRS"][/caption]

That's it for now! Hope y'all like what you're seeing!

Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have questions about the house!

Love the pendant in the foyer. Also the leaded stained glass windows – classic! I pass by there so much and love what I’m seeing outside. After a few more weeks of work I’m going to grab a hard hat and sneak in for a look!
