WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE

Anyone who knows me knows I am obsessed with anything animal print. I wear it and decorate with it.  Some would even say I have a slight animal print addiction. I am okay with this. Today I am going to share some of my top reasons why you should love animal print too.   [caption id="attachment_5142" align="aligncenter" width="470"] I love the mix of toile with the zebra pillow.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_5143" align="aligncenter" width="347"] Melissa Rufty[/caption] 2.  It is not specific to one design style or period.  Whether you lean towards the traditional or contemporary, it will work with all of them! [caption id="attachment_5131" align="aligncenter" width="300"] Palmer Weiss[/caption] [caption id="attachment_5144" align="aligncenter" width="600"] I love the pop of leopard in this room.  It blends perfectly with collection of antiques and art work.[/caption] 3.  Guys typically are not afraid of animal prints.  Animal skins can make a room feel masculine and cozy.  I hope my husband doesn't mind, there is animal print in every room of our house! [caption id="attachment_5146" align="aligncenter" width="600"] This room screams masculine and worldly. I want to curl up and read a book in this room. I even like the random skull.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_5132" align="aligncenter" width="284"] This room is very cozy, and feels masculine to me.  In a good way of course![/caption] 4.  Animal print is timeless.  You will never have to worry, "Will this be out of style next year?"  I promise you it will not.  We typically advise clients to pick neutral solids on their big pieces of upholstery.  However, a pair of zebra print clubs chairs would get a big thumbs up from me.  I also think using leopard as your stairwell runner is a great way to incorporate it into your home. [caption id="attachment_5145" align="aligncenter" width="403"] This is absolutely timeless.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_5136" align="aligncenter" width="553"] Stark Antelope is one of my absolute favorites![/caption] 5.  It could be the punch your room has been missing.  If you ever stand in a room and wonder what is missing, try throwing a zebra rug on the floor, or a cheetah throw pillow on the sofa.  If you are feeling really daring, do both!! [caption id="attachment_5141" align="aligncenter" width="313"] It is okay to mix more than one animal print in the same room. I have always loved this room. It would be my ideal home office.[/caption] Well did I sell you on the wonder of animal print?  What do you guys think?  I hope everyone had a great weekend.  Until next time...
