In college, one of my favorite things I learned was how to download fonts. It is so simple, but I never knew that fonts other than those that came with my computer were even an option. As you will see, my font knowledge has grown since then - I even used these fonts to design my own logo for my portfolio  - and now I want to share my love of fonts with y'all!! First of  all, we have to pick a website. There  is a crazy amount of  websites out there with downloadable fonts but I have to warn you - be careful to pick one that does not charge you. The first one I ever discovered was It has everything from San Serif or Script to Fancy or Foreign fonts. They also have fonts for the holidays, greek lettering, or even fonts that you will recognize from classic TV shows and movies. Here are some pics to get your creative mind spinning: [caption id="attachment_1489" align="aligncenter" width="496" caption="San Serif - always my favorite go-to style of fonts - by"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_1490" align="aligncenter" width="415" caption="Script courtesy of"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_1488" align="aligncenter" width="496" caption="various fun fonts from"][/caption]

How fun are those?? I must admit, I am a San Serif junkie. It's just so clean and modern. But - I have recently discovered a new font addiction:

This year, my absolute favorite font source is First and foremost, it is a precious blog where Amanda (a fellow Auburn fan!) shares recipes, scrapbooking secrets, organization tips, and fun info about her family. On top of that you will find a ton of FREE fonts that are possibly the cutest thing you will ever see in the font world - she takes people's handwriting and makes it into a font!!! I have spent hours looking at all the font choices - probably should have been studying - but I guess it worked out okay since I graduated! Anyway, Amanda calls her adorable  fonts "Fonts For Peas" -  take a look: [caption id="attachment_1507" align="aligncenter" width="558" caption="Pea Lisel Caps - you may recognize this since it can be seen all over our blog!"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_1508" align="aligncenter" width="558" caption="Pea Annie - love this one!"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_1509" align="aligncenter" width="558" caption="Pea Hurry Up Beck - precious!"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_1522" align="aligncenter" width="558" caption="Pea Jenny Roman - too cute"][/caption] There are so many more that you will all LOVE so make sure to check them out for yourself! How to Install: Not only does Amanda provide us with an awesome selection of fonts, she also gives you step by step instructions on how to install them! Click to be taken to the "how to" page - just select the type of computer you have and Amanda will take it from there! Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have about how to install or use these fonts! I will be more than happy to help! Welcome to a world free of  Times New Roman fever! Happy typing!!
